Quilt Studio Class Schedule & Locations

You are invited to come relax, have fun, and get the guidance you need to complete those unfinished projects. Or start a refreshing new project. This is perfect timing for all of your holiday, birthday, or anniversary gifts you wish to start or finish. Enjoy this creative atmosphere with your sewing mates, share new ideas, bring a friend, and make new friends. The “presence” of your company will ensure a good time. Hope you can come join the fun.

​Quilt Studio 55 Classes
Beginner Sewing Classes
 
Quilt Studio 55 will be offering a series of beginning quilting classes . These four classes will focus on making a simple, elegant quilt from start to finish. The classes will include the following techniques:
Needles, threads, and precise rotary cutting with rulers, working out details of sewing with a scant quarter inch on your machine, rotary cutting, sewing, and ironing techniques for your blocks, arranging blocks on a design wall,  placement, measuring,  and sewing borders, explanation of different types of batting,  sandwiching and machine quilting procedures,  several binding techniques, and quilt labels.  I have attached a picture of the quilt you will make. You can use the fabric of your choice and make the size quilt you desire. Supply list will be sent after registration.

* Hunter Star Quilt            (4 Hr Class)     $70
                       This special method is so easy sewing with strips. Looks great in just two colors.

* Elegant Slanted Star (Double X Variation) Quilt       (4 Hr class)      $70       
Construct a quarter unit with speed using this unique and accurate procedure. Then                            sew 4 units together to create a stunning slanted star. Learn easy and precise rotary cutting                methods and practice accurate piecing using a scant 1/4" seams. The quilt looks fabulous                      using different fabric themes and beautiful in all different sizes from crib to king size.

  • Wool pin cushion, Penny Rug style. Learn how to hand sew appliqué pieces using embroidery stitches. (Kit to be purchased for $18) $55 class fee.
  • Want to learn how to Paper Piece? In this class you will sew a Mariners Compass using the paper piecing method. This 14" block can be incorporated in a number of items including a pillow, placemats, wall hanging, pocket book, quilt, the options are endless.  $50 class fee. 
  • Whirligig Quilt , a Quilt in a Day Series, can be made in a variety of sizes. It looks great with all fabrics including holiday, bali, monochromatic, novelty, florals, children or fabrics of your choice. This quilt works up quickly and yields an especially elegant look. Techniques include rotary cutter, ruler, strip piecing, truing up blocks, inner borders, and binding. Perfect for beginners and a simple joy for the more experienced sewer. Hope you and a friend can join the fun. $45 class fee.
  • Insulated Round Pot Holder with pockets for your hands. They make great gifts or make a few for yourself.  $40 class fee.
  • Quilted insulated casserole/pie carrier. Makes a great hostess gift. $45 class fee.
  • Primitive Flowers Penny Rug . (Kit to be purchased $25).  $60 class fee.
  • Hunter Star Quilt - This method is so easy and there is no cutting diamond shapes or sewing inset seam. Looks great in just two colors.  $70 class fee.​
  • Warm Wishes Quilt- Easy Yet Elegant quilt.  $50 class fee.
  • Court House Steps with a Twist. Easy Yet Elegant quilt. Sew blocks with only two colors and then cut in quarters and mix and match to create another block. $50 class fee.
  • Learn to Hand Applique- It's so much fun and relaxing.  $50 class fee.
  • Modified Tahoe Tote Bag- This is a large bag to carry all your stuff.
  • Three Star Table runner- Great table runner for all occasions.
  •  Tumbler Quilt $50  (3 hour class)
  •  Circles Quilt $50  (3 hour class)
  •  Pumpkins Wool Penny Rug $50  (3 hour class)
