Quilt Studio 55, located in Scarborough Maine, is available for longarm quilting services on hand made and heirloom quilts. Choose from a variety of pantograph designs to be sewn on your beautiful artistic creations.

Longarm quilting in action. This video is some free motion custom work for a Quilt Studio 55 client. Your pattern could be a pantograph or custom work, depending on your vision of how your quilt will be used.

When you bring your quilt, please do the following:
1. Backing needs to be 6-8" larger than the quilt top, or 3-4" larger all around the quilt top.
2. Iron the quilt top and all seams to one side or iron seams open.
3. Iron the backing of the quilt and all seams open. Seams should be 1/2" wide with selvages removed.
4. Make sure your quilt top and backing are square.
5. Do not baste or pin the layers together.
6. If you are supplying batting, it also needs to be 6-8" larger than the quilt top.
7. Clip all loose threads from the front and back of quilt.
8. Mark the top of the quilt and backing if needed.
9. Binding services available.
